  • Jim Munro: Another one for the Google Webmaster Forum Shame file.

  • Richard Hearne: This is where Google has taken organic search:
  • Micah Fisher-Kirshner: Starts off bad, but gets a bit better at least this time...
  • Tony McCreath: It was worth the read for me. With the current attack on my website it seems more important to disavow links as fast as possible.

+Richard Hearne ;made a great point that crap websites rarely get re-crawled thus making the disavow tool ineffective. The best chance is to get them before they make it into Google's index in the first place. Or you wait forever for the link to get re-crawled to be disavowed.

Since my last disavow run a week ago I have found 342 new spammy links to banish :-(
  • Jim Munro: At some point, Google will have to admit that they made a wrong turning by creating the conditions for Negative SEO to be so ruthlessly effective.

How they unwind their mistake will be something to think about, but first they will have to figure out that they were wrong in the first place.
  • Jim Munro: I see that +Matthew Grdinic ;is a voice of reason on this thread. It would be great if you have time to join our Hangout on Air in 12-16 hours time, Matthew.
  • Jim Munro: For some reason I am having difficulty contacting  ;+Robert Buehler ;, the site owner in this thread.

Would somebody else like to try? I saw some advice he was given and I'd like to improve on it for him.
  • Tony McCreath: Have you tried via his websites contact form?
  • Jim Munro: No, Tony. :)

The obvious always escapes me but now that I've tried to contact him via G+ I'd like to know if others are experiencing the same as well as what is causing the disconnect.
  • Tony McCreath: He's not active on his G+ so I suspect he doesn't check it much. His SEO provider is more active (find the other follower for his business page).
