Some of my sites have been penalized by a Google update.

I guys! It`s been a while since I`ve posted a question on this community because my business was doing great.

Here`s my problem : Since last week some of my site have been penalized by a Google update or one of the scans they did on my site.

I`m pretty sure it`s due to bad backlinks. Do you guys think that the directories that links more then 1 time one your web site are bad and spammy.

Did you have to make a change? Did you experience the same thing? Tell me what you think!

Tim Capper: Looking at the image i would say it may be links. The 1st one with 53 links coming from it, looks toxic to me and it is a directory, so even if not the problem i would still make an attempt to clean those up

Shawn Cohen: Did you get a message in GWT that stated the site is under a penalty or warning?
Guillaume Boucher Bélanger: Nope... My it's not a manual penality but ratter a penguin like penality if it's not that.

Shawn Cohen: To +Tim Capper's point, if you have access to linkresearchtools.com Detox tool, you can see which of those links is unhealthy.

Tim Capper: Hi +Sławomir Zdunek ;It is not a unique or special directory, it takes all sites. It also self perpetuates, so when a new category or tag is created it includes all other business creating more links coming from same domain.

It is not a quality, well run or regulated, authorative directory.

This site would not send any traffic to the user so ... ergo. It was only created to manipulate search engines... no valid business reason other then links to use this kind of directory
