The Incredible Impact of Knowledge Cards on Google Glass Results

Although the article is about Google Glass, the same "cards" or almost the same are used within Google Now. 

I also like the comments form AJ. Therefore I am not sure about the knowledge graph.

OK, I think you get the idea. The Knowledge Graph has the ability to take over the search results on Google Glass for many informational queries, and for some navigational queries. For some, this is probably a scary scenario. As more and more people use wearables (and Android wearables), they will be seeing a lot of Knowledge Graph cards. And that can mean less visibility for your results, less traffic for your company, information somewhat out of your control, etc.

Great research here by +Glenn Gabe. However, I`m not sure I see the doom and gloom others see with Knowledge Cards. If you`re business depends on traffic from these types of queries then you`re on borrowed time one way or the other. You`re the milkman and we`ve got better ways of getting milk now. 

But what this does show is why Google is obsessed with the Knowledge Graph and while they talk about having to do this because of `mobile` there`s every indication that new human computer interfaces, whether they be glasses or watches are going to leverage this type of result.

So be ready for the downstream searches these cards produce, because what these cards do is prime and frame further searches. You just need to figure out what those are going to be.
