    Thanks :-)
  • Terry Simmonds: +dominic learwood ;try this - http://www.v1seo.co.uk/11/google-traffic-calculator/
  • dominic learwood: Magic phew thanks. So how is it calculated?/ how does it work?
  • Terry Simmonds: Don't put too much trust in it, refresh  ;;-)
  • Dave Elliott: This is ALWAYS going to be an estimate i'm afraid. Things like title tags, meta-descriptions and the URL/domain name etc are likely to impact click through rates so #1 isn't really going to be a fixed percentage of  ;x searches = y traffic.

i have seen everything from 30% to about 45% quoted. My programme does it at 42% so that is what i use!

As long as you are consistent and make sure everyone knows it is an estimate i don't really think it matters that much to be honest.
  • dominic learwood: +Dave Elliott do you know your programme calculates this? obviously the %age is debatable in SEO world depending on what study you read, but do you know what the actual equation is?
  • Dave Elliott: it just does it as a fixed 42% of the average monthly searches which it grabs from the google adword keyword planner.(or whatever it is called now)
  • dominic learwood: +Terry Simmonds
     ;lol was this a demonstration?
  • dominic learwood: +Dave Elliott i've noticed that the stats on adwords even for the organic KW list on adwords changes depending on your bid. By that I don't mean adwords I mean the traffic estimator tool on adwords.
  • Dave Elliott: I use a different tab for keyword research. "get search volume for a list of keywords or group them into adgroups" no bids on that one.

The traffic estimator tool is for google adwords traffic rates, NOT organic, so isn't really useful in this circumstance.
  • SEMrush: +dominic learwood we do have this info in our tool -> semrush (dot) com
we calculate it simply by multiplying CTR and KW Volume.
please let us know, if you'd like to test the service and we'll send you the promocode :)
  • Dave Elliott: +SEMrush ;could you please break the link to your site in the last post. (ie semrush(dot)com ) dropping in back links to your own content is frowned upon in these here parts!(even if it is genuinely useful!)
  • al morris: So I get 501 unique visits in 24 hours. I wish.
  • SEMrush: +Dave Elliott oh, sorry! sure!
  • David Saunders: You could be getting 500 uniques a week they may just be surfing.... D
  • dominic learwood: ok thanks for your help everyone have a nice day - hope your breathing apparatus is normal if your in the uk smog.

The cuetimes listed on this page are functional while the live broadcast continues and also once Youtube has finished processing the public broadcast. Processing time varies between 6-24 hours. During this period the clip is viewable in full but the cuetimes cannot be relied on.
  • Dave Elliott: I can't find the right queue point for this but entirely approve of where it is at the moment! :D
  • Lasting Blueprint Productions: That link posted to get traffic is definitely wrong. Put in company name and it was waaaay off.
