Jamie Heinrichs: When posting pictures to my website, should the the title and the alternate text be the same phrases? Do I need to include a caption?
Ehtesham Shaikh: It is not necessary that title ( is for users) and alt tag ( is for bots) should be the same but the both should describe what the image is all about. ; I am not sure about caption, I think If the site consist of images and videos may be it gives more helpful to users and bots.
Adam Heaton: The things you need to make sure you do are ensure the image is named accordingly with what you want it to appear for, ensure the alt tag contains the term you want it to appear for and lastly ensure the page the image on is relevant. These 3 things together will help your images appear in Googles image search if that is what you are aiming for.

Adam Heaton: +PK Group ;no he doesn't, most of that is completely false? Titles do not make any difference and neither does captions, the only thing that ACTUALLY is correct is the alt tags.
PK Group: +Adam Heaton I thought titles and captions help with user experience but don't factor in search, whereas alt tagging is for the search engines. Is this correct?
Adam Heaton: That is correct +PK Group, however the question is referring to the optimisation of an image and not the user experience. The way you agreed with +john writer ;looked as though you agreed that these points optimise an image which they don't.
