Is the use of a social media dashboard useful?

Does the use of a social media dashboard, such as sprout, allow you to manage multiple platforms while realizing time savings, or does it water down your message buy posting the same thing on all of your sites??

Brent Wildman: Definite time savings. Posting the same thing on all of your sites is up to you.
SEMrush: +Brandon Masbruch posting to multiple platforms would be handier with Hotsuite :) we use Hootsuite and Sprout both, but Sprout we are using mostly for analytics and research.

Honey Tree Media: You will have the best results if you post content that is native to each social network. For example, post images with quotes to Instagram and Tumblr, links to blog posts with clever headlines on Twitter, mini-posts with great visuals on G+, and so forth. Social media management platforms like Hootsuite do not require you to post the same content to social media networks, and will definitely save you a lot of time if you don't depend on them to do all the work for you!
