  • Aman Tandon: Is there any shortcut to link building in a White Hat Way. Considering there are some lazy people around .
  • Jim Munro: I have no clue, Aman, but I'd guess that the value of a link will be aligned to the amount of effort required it secure it. ;
  • David Kutcher: Write good content and encourage sharing of it via google+ comments is a decent start
  • Aman Tandon: Effort required to secure it ?

    What about comment search engines ?

    Do you recommend building links this way ?
  • Aman Tandon: +David Kutcher ;Writing good content is always a priority .But you know hero sites, even if my content stays there for say one week . It goes down the list anyway and I know my content has some useful resources .

    So building trust through link building . But again it requires a little effort and time too .
  • David Kutcher: +Aman Tandon that's why Authority and Trust are Earned. There aren't shortcuts to that.
  • Aman Tandon: Authority and Trust are indeed earned . Thanks for your useful advice :-) .
  • Johan Enblom: Hi +Aman Tandon. As mentioned here about the Authorship, this is going to be more of an important factor in the future as well. I would focus on creating genuine quality content written for the audience and reach out to the industry to promote your brand through that content, rather than focusing on necessarly receiving a link back.
  • Bob Reno: As with weight loss, I have found the most success with the slow but steady approach like losing 1 lb a week . . . or one good link a month.  ;It also seems like when you take that approach other opportunities arise that allow you to lose an extra pound here or there (or getting an unexpected link from a top site) and before you know it you've reached your goal.  ;
  • Foxtail Marketing: One authoritative link per day.  ;That's the motto you should live by.  ;What's a motto?  ;Nothing, what's a motto with you?!

    We couldn't resist.

    But honestly, build out a game plan and stick to it.  ;You'll be shocked how far you'll go in just a month's time.  ;Plus, the best part is, you won't get dinged with algorithmic updates.  ;All of the clients that come to us after getting Penguin slapped always seem to use the same word you did in the question... "shortcut".

    Just ask Rap Genius how their shortcut worked out for them.
