  Aman Tandon: +David Kutcher ;Writing good content is always a priority .But you know hero sites, even if my content stays there for say one week . It goes down the list anyway and I know my content has some useful resources .
  
  So building trust through link building . But again it requires a little effort and time too .

I would focus on creating genuine quality content written for the audience and reach out to the industry to promote your brand through that content, rather than focusing on necessarly receiving a link back.
