Are there any effective ways to optimize single-page websites built to encourage scrolling rather than clicking?

Hello everyone. We are curious if anyone knows if there are any effective ways to optimize single-page websites built to encourage scrolling rather than clicking.

Is there a way to design a site like this in such a way that individual sections can each have their own SEO meta data application? Any help on how to optimize for specific services in these "panels" would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    BTW it is OK to refer to sites as examples in this way - alwayscreative (dot)net. ;
  • Ranu Jain: Hi,

    I would say that single page website do work as quality wins over quantity.

    - Try to cover all your product/ services with calls-to-action and a sign up form. ;

    - Add sharing buttons for Twitter/Facebook, as these seem to be important ranking factors nowadays.

    And this is what Google has to say :

     ;"If the structure of your website is correct and the content it contains is great you should rank as you would normally like any other website."
  • Key Web Concepts, Inc.: +Ranu Jain Thank you for your input. ; We'll take this advice into consideration when building single-page sites in the future.
  • Micah Fisher-Kirshner: Single page websites in Flash can rank, but require some extensive technical knowledge of making sure Google can index your Flash files as well as using !# (hashbang) to signify that those are different URLs.

    I don't have expertise in those areas, but hopefully that can lead you down the right path to optimize these kinds of one-page websites.
