What are everyone`s thoughts on PRweb.com these days?

Hi, Im just wondering what everyones thoughts here are on PRweb.com these days and their service? I know they used to be a main staple for back-links and that is what Ive used them for in the past but that was some years ago and not used them since. Im doing some PR & marketing for a project now for a site and startup related to Kickstarter and wondering if its worth buying the Advanced package there as Ive had a very poor response to my outreach emails so far and I need to do something to get things going and get us noticed, I wouldnt really be interested in the back links side of it though. Thanks.?

  • John Harris: Hi +David Jones. It's good for link diversity, it helps for sure but can't be used as a single source for links, mix it with others.

  • John Harris: I would get the basic package
  • David Jones: Thanks John, actually Im more interested in its value for actually getting noticed and picked up and eventually written about by the media than link value (although some SEO benefit is welcome)
  • John Harris: I think it should be something Really special to achieve that. Quite difficult imo
  • eBizWebpages: I can't speak to the value of any of their paid packages. But I did come across a press release that was done using PRWeb in the top 10 of a search on Google ; a couple of days ago.
  • David Jones: Thats what I thought, so I guess its only real value is SEO? Im not expecting miracles from it but Ive been doing lots of outreach and PR on my own for this project and in the right niches and the response has been woeful so that got me thinking that perhaps I should try PRweb and see what happens. I have a feeling that once a few sites write about us then others will follow suit....
