Blog posts are indexed instantly but articles are slow. Why?

  Dan Fritschen: My wordpress website has a blog and articles.  ;Postings to the blog are indexed by google "instantly" while the articles are indexed days - weeks - months after they are published.  ;Several questions....does this mean that the blog postings are more "valuable" seo wise than the articles and therefore i should principally blog and write fewer articles?  ;Is there possibly some difference in the way that i have my blogs and articles set up on the site that is causing this difference or is it just the way the google bot does its thing?

  Have you got some strange settings in your xml sitemap?
  
  I assume you are not blocking anything.
  
  It may well be that google sees more value in your blog posts vs articles...

  Dan Fritschen: Andy, thanks for responding and your comments.  ;So if google "sees more value" in the blog posts should i put more time toward blog posts versus articles?  ;That is my fundamental question - is the quickness to index an indication of how google "values" the content and therefore the links contained in the content?  ;  ;Thanks again!
