  • Uzma Asghar: I have a problem , I am posting on daily basis on my blog . after posting i share on G+ page, FB , Twitter , but it takes 10 days to crawl new pages in Google . any help regarding indexing quickly .
  • SKI USA INC: If this is the problem you can fetch your page in Google Web master tools

  • Benoît Geffrotin: Yep, not so sure that it takes 10 days to crawl...GoogleBot visits your site if you post in G+, never verified but it seems logic, at least to catch an image and verifying that the page is not 404...so it takes long to index or ranks, not crawl...your problem is most probably a lack of authority...Your blog is not in Google's priority. ;
  • Adam Heaton: This is because Google currently do not feel it necessary to crawl your website regularly to index pages from your site. You can try and encourage it by pinging a post, fetching the page in Google Webmaster tools like +SKI USA INC ;has mentioned or work on improving the crawl rate Google has for your site. This is typically done by improving the quality of the site through backlinks, social media, etc.
  • Ranu Jain: Hi Uzma,

    To add to the above mentioned points, hope you have submitted sitemap to GWT. ;

    Make sure your site has unique and high-quality content. ;Duplicate content also affect indexation. ;Google's crawling, indexing, and ranking processes are focused on offering quality search results. ;

    Crawl errors such as 404 can also affect ;Google crawl rate of a site. So make sure that your site does not have such issues. ;
  • Tom Willis: Hi +Uzma Asghar, it may help if you can provide an example of the type of content you are publishing, or the URL of your blog. I'm curious to know what you're writing about...
  • Uzma Asghar: www dot howtoearndollars dot com
  • Graywolf Prepper: Uzma, your domain is only a month old. As such, I would imagine google just doesn't trust you quite yet.

  • Uzma Asghar: when will they trust usually ? i have another domain with 2 year old , Still taking 7-8 days to index pages
  • W.E. Jonk: +Uzma Asghar ;can you please disable your link like: ;www dot howtoearndollars dot com? The reason why is because we like to keep our community as clean as possible. Thanks in advance. ;

    P.S. your admin/login page is wide open. That is, bad guys can brute force a login. In other words, some bot may try to login in using different username/password over and over again until they break in. Please make your login more secure.
  • Uzma Asghar: +W.E. Jonk ; How to secure WP login any Reference ? by the way I removed www. according to your guideline ;
  • W.E. Jonk: Thanks for disabling the link. Here is a link to +Archie Watt ;'s post about what bad guys can do when a WordPress login in open to the web ;https://plus.google.com/105941063761425777596/posts/FMXYWyoeedn

    What I personally do is block every IP except my own because I am the only one contributing to that blog.
  • Graywolf Prepper: You can also protect the wp-admin folder with a login and password to get to the wp-login page. I had to do that because I was getting about 20 notifications per day that my admin login was attempted so many times they were locked out. I don't even have Admin as a login, just for that reason but they still try.
  • Mark Nemtsas: Googlebot will crawl your site at the rate that it considers worthwhile.  ;Increase the importance of your site and Google will index it more often.
  • Tim Quin: You could also try adjusting your site map so that it asks google bot to crawl your site daily. Though I'm not sure if this makes a difference, perhaps one of you guys could confirm this?
  • Graywolf Prepper: Just my obvservations:

    That crawl rate change can be suggested but it's designed to slow down the crawl rates to not overwhelm your system, not speed it up.

    If you want it done more often, you can Fetch as Google in WMT each day.

    Their crawlers have their own calculations on how to prioritize their crawling to be the most efficient.

    Updating your site often will have an effect but having a higher pagerank/authority/whatever would have more of an effect.
  • Tim Quin: +Graywolf Prepper
    Thanks for clearing this up for me my friend.
