I`ve got a mysterious bunch of links according to open site explorer that I can`t find

Hi guys, I`ve got a mysterious bunch of links according to open site explorer that I can`t find.. are there any SEO Sherlock Holmes out there that can help?

Here goes..when I type my website http(semicolon)//socialgarden(dot)com(dot)au/ into open site explorer it says I have a bunch of links from sitenewspro(dot)com. It says that they are images but when I go to the sites I can`t see any images I own and when I hit the view source code and type the supposed alt tag and URL from my site nothing comes up!

These are some of the links:

http(semicolon)//www(dot)sitepronews(dot)com/2014/02/03/fiftythree-disputes-facebooks-right-name-new-app-paper/

http(semicolon)//www(dot)sitepronews(dot)com/2012/09/11/social-media-overload-an-epic-fail-for-business/

Let`s see how we go!?

  • Dave Elliott: did you comment on stories on that site? If memory serves the profile pictures are linked up to the website url you specify when making a comment.

    Just had a quick look, that is indeed the case. Also, the 'top commentators' box provides links back to your site, so it is possible you appeared on that rather than commenting on the specific article directly. ;
  • Michael Bird: I don't recall ever commenting, certainly not 20 odd times that's for sure! it's so weird
  • Dave Elliott: Maybe someone else on your team posts on there fairly regularly?
  • Michael Bird: nope..no one had heard of it when I bought it up today in the office. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving it and want to keep them there, but I just don't know how they got there in the first place..the digital gods shining down perhaps :p
  • Dave Elliott: They don't seem to bring in comments from g+ which was my other suspicion...... who knows. ;
