  • Cristian Oana: In webmaster tools you have an option that is called "parameters" it will give you the chance to say that ?page=xxx is a parameter to be ignored.

    The other option is to put a canonical tag link in the page so that itineraries?page=1 points ;itineraries.
  • Dave Elliott: i don't think what +Cristian Oana ;is saying will work for you!

    is there different content on each of the example pages you have given or is it the same content.

    if it is the same then do what cristian is saying, if it is different content REALLY REALLY DON'T do the ignore parameters bit!

    if it is different then for the page one, page 2 type stuff there is a really useful tag called for next/prev tags.

    e.g for the page  ;itineraries?page=2 add the following bits of code into the <head> ;

    <link rel="prev" href="http://www.example.com/itineraries?page=1">
    <link rel="next" href="http://www.example.com/itineraries?page=3">

    This should help google behave a bit better!
