Hey everyone. Just wanted to gather a few opinions. I recently took on seo work for a client with an existing website and discovered over 30k in seo issues with 90% of them meta in nature. So the question is where do I even begin? It`s seems like an impossible task to reduce this to any meaningful number on my own. Thanks in advance

I would suggest that first report this to the client. Don't make any false promises. Just say that its a tedious task and will need time to get these issues fixed. ;

Could you please share the site's link? And which tool did you use to find these issues? There are chances that some tools report unnecessary issues with the site. ;
Cillian Bracken-Conway: +Ranu Jain. I'm using moz. Most of the issues are duplicate meta tags, missing alt tags etc. I have made the client aware. The site was built using joomla, in house. They have also asked me to add structured mark up to all the products on the site. I tried using Google webmaster to highlight the data but it cannot find consistency in the way the site is structured. The site is http://www.paragonproducts.ie
Ranu Jain: There are Joomla Extensions for meta. You can add them to the site and then start putting the meta data.

What exact problem are you getting there? ;
Guillaume Boucher Bélanger: wow I don't know who built that site! just look at the urls and those are quite horrible.
