I am looking for some advice on keyword research.

I am looking for some advice on keyword research. We are doing 5 blog articles a week and have had some good luck getting rankings on Google. We don`t have a formal system in place to research our keywords before writing our articles/blog posts.

I was hoping somebody could outline the steps they take and tools they use to find keywords to target.?
