Is there any advantage to building links from a wordpress.com, tumblr type site?

Hi guys, here`s my dumb SEO question for the night:
Is there any advantage to building links from a wordpress.com/tumblr type site. Site would be relevant to niche and 1 keyword per page etc, and one EMD link in the text. Any thoughts??

Josh LaPierre: The only benefit(s) I can think of would be that Wordpress is easier for search engines to crawl then a normal website that wasn't optimized for being crawled. Other then that, I don't think they offer anything special in terms of SEO if you make sure that your website is up to snuff. ;The other benefit might be that Tumblr and Wordpress websites could "trusted" more then maybe a website that hasn't been online to long, but even that would be a huge stretch ;and wouldn't be a huge factor over all. It really depends on the website its self. ;
