GWTs says the site has 20, 000+ links coming site?

I`m looking into back links for a large site. GWTs says the site has 20, 000+ links coming from one strong authority site (along with many other links). My problems are that when I go to download the list it only shows me 40 links. Also when I view the links currently there I cannot find a link on for my site on the page. Any thoughts?

Dimitri Prosvirin: WMT is not always great with updating data for backlinks. If it shows you 20K+ links and when you click to check actual links it shows you less then it might be that WMT can`t find other links anymore. The case can be that this site-wide link was removed by the siteowner but not all pages were cached after that.
