I have a question about merging Google+ and Google Places listing.

I have a question about merging Google+ and Google Places listing.

The company I work for currently has two Google+ pages (a brand page and a local/places page). When doing a branded search, the only one that comes up is our Google Places listing.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation? I would prefer if the pages could be merged, or for both pages to show up for branded searches.

  • Collin Davis: +Mike Stetzer  ;maybe this could help - ; http://blumenthals.com/blog/2012/08/03/step-by-step-guide-to-the-google-businesslocal-merge-verification-process/
  • Dave Elliott: We had this problem and couldn't get it sorted, which is ludicrous.
  • Mike Stetzer: Right +Dave Elliott  ;!? I've been researching this for a while now and can't really come up with a solution.
  • Isaac Campbell: Merge your account with Google Takeout ( http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/transfer-google-plus-accounts/ ). If that doesn't work, delete one account and only use the only with the verified local listing.
  • Francesca Arceri: Unfortunately Google Support tell me that It's not possible merge the two pages G+ e Google ; Places
  • Mike Stetzer: Thanks +Isaac Campbell  ;, unfortunately both pages were created using the same login. Based on everything I've found, I think that +Francesca Arceri  ;is right, and that there's no way to merge the two. Can't really seem to understand why Google can't integrate the two and allow for reviews to show up on a brand page.
  • Dave Elliott: It will happen eventually. But yeah, it is a little stupid. We have the same address on both pages(profile/places) and both are verified! it can't be beyond the wit of man surely!
  • Brad Fogel: This may help: ; http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2293053/Google-Places-for-Business-vs.-Google-Local
  • Mike Stetzer: Appreciate the article +Brad Fogel  ;. Still not able to merge Google Places and Google Plus brand page (despite being under the same login). Given the amount of articles out there on the web, it sounds like this is a frustration that is shared by a lot of webmasters, not just me.
  • Brad Fogel: We have not either. Some say there is a button in Google Places to merge but have not seen it. I've seen articles they are still rolling it out also to make it easier so maybe coming soon? ;
