  • Scott McHugh: Is it best that all social media profiles match company website profile, for optimal SEO?
  • Collin Davis: It really depends on the platform and audience that you are optimizing for. For eg Twitter will only provide you a character limit of 140 characters for your Twitter bio. Google+ on the other hand provides a lot of scope to explain your business better. Facebook and Pinterest also have their limitations.

    My suggestion would be keep the SEO aspects in mind such as including your keywords, having attractive images, etc but apart from SEO focus on your target audience from those social profiles. Your profile page on the social profile makes the first impression, so you would want to make it appealing enough to make users want to follow you.

    So having all social media profiles have exactly the same content wouldn't exactly be a great option, a bit of creativity would really help in this regard  ;
  • Tony McCreath: Not certain but the social media profile may contribute as a NAP citation so it is worth making sure the Name, Address and Phone numbers are consitent across them all and your website.
