What is the best way of removing bad social bookmarks placed by a old SEO company?

Tim Capper: I think between WMT and Majestic, you should have most of the links. Have you asked the SEO company for the login details? sounds daft but it is the fastest way for removals. Obviously If they are still in existance they will have all the login details they used, even the automated systems store the login details, so they should have them?

Leo McDevitt: Here's one backdoor method that helped me get rid of some of those bookmark sites: If they had a substantial amount of copy from a page on my site on their bookmark page, I told them that I would file a DMCA takedown request for copyright violation. That got all but a couple of them to comply. The ones that didn't I followed through, and they were forced to remove the copy. This method only works if they have a paragraph or two of your copy on their site.

Sorry to be cheeky but do you have a copy of the email you used leo, if it is effective I definitely want to use, great idea btw. As for the links i am mostly using majesticseo to find them however i keep finding new ones, is there a better one for finding all these crap links that you know of? ;
