More links then text?

Is there any danger in having a page that has more links then text? Ex. a page that has 329 internal links and 37 outbound links (all FOLLOW) outnumbering the text.

  • Steve Gerencser: There is no `danger` in a page like that. There may also be nearly no value. I usually see that on an HTML sitemap designed for users rather than search engines.
  • Ammon Johns: I agree with Steve Gerencser on this, but I will add one vitally important caveat - there is no danger in having *a* page like that - singular. If a whole site had that many links tucked into its navigation menu, even styled into neat drop-downs, that would be a very different matter, and a considerable issue
  • Kim Krause Berg: There are 3 of them.
  • Michael Martinez: We have HTML sitemap pages that look like that. Never experienced a problem on those sites. (Except for the outbound links but that isn`t supposed to matter). Now, if this is the navigation on every page of the site you have too many links. That often causes problems with Panda.
