  • William Gomes: Hi +Zahib Ziaweet ;there is in my opinion a mixed debate about this. I would say that being social online may help however I have never personally seen any proof of this and studies/articles that have been released usually say there is a correlation between high rankings and high social media engagement.

    If your a company that is big enough to have thousands of real followers then your big enough to have thousands of real quality links so in my opinion there is no proof that in reality it helps.

    However linking your website with your G+ profile seems to help if only at least to increase CTR on serp results. ;

    I would say if you really want to be engaged in social media and do it properly then go for it if you don't see an advantage in the serps either way the brand will be getting out there. But if you are doing it alongside a shady linkbuilding campaign and your going to "fake it" then its probably not worth it.

    I guess the answer to your question in reality is I don't think at the moment we officially know at least there is not any in my opinion im sure others will disagree that social does actually improve rankings. So in terms of what you should do then... If your actually wanting to do social for good reasons and not to SPAM do it if not leave it.
  • Unique Websites: +Zahib Ziaweet ;- As +William Gomes ;says, there are mixed opinions over this. Check out a Moz survey: http://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors ;which states that many seo experts see social signals as a small ranking factor.

    I don't see it so much as link juice, more a "popularity signal".

    Also, if you're active in social media, you might strike up a relationship with someone who would be interested in sharing your content on their blog.
  • Zahib Ziaweet: +Unique Websites Great response I appreciate that and I will review that article
