I have a question regarding Meta description on WordPress site. I added All in one SEO plug-in on my WordPress blog  and filled each column of meta information. But when I checked this out into the Google Search Engine. It is showing other things into the SERP meta details instead of what I put in there. Can anyone please solve this query? • Aamir Siddiqui: For what query you are searching your site i mean which keyword?
  • Rahul Dixit: +Aamir Siddiqui ; I just entered URL of my blog post into the search engine after that I saw this clutter into Meta Description.
  • Jim Munro: Hi +Rahul Dixit ;:)

    You are welcome here but links are not. Please disable you link like this so I will not have to remove your post.

  • Tony McCreath: 4 line snipets are rare. It looks like Google is ignoring your meta description and pulling in multiple quotes from you pages content.

    Google sometimes does that. Generally if your meta description does not relate well to the search term or the content of the page.

  • Patrick Rabanser: +Tony McCreath ;is right, you should try to change your Meta description and check after a while and see if google changed it to.
  • Rahul Dixit: +Jim Munro ;Its done. Please also pay attention on resolving my query.
  • Rahul Dixit: +Patrick Rabanser ; +Tony McCreath ; It only showing this 4 line snippets if I put my blog post into the search engine. ;
  • W.E. Jonk: In general, these snippets are auto-generated by Google based on the search query. These days it is common that G uses a different snippet for every search query. So what was the exact search query, and why is the snippet generated by G not good?
  • Matt Hintze: +Rahul Dixit ;I used to use that same plugin. I had a lot of problems with it. I have found SEO Ultimate to be better.  ;It has an easy layout for changing meta descriptions (you just have to remember to delete an excerpt short code).
  • Fat Eyes Web Development: +Matt Hintze This is off topic of this thread, but I also use All in One SEO and while I haven't had any problems with it, I have thought occasionally about switching.

    When you switched were you able to import all the data or did you have to re-enter the tags etc for each page and post?
  • Rahul Dixit: +Matt Hintze ; Yes I would like to know after switching plug-in how you restored your meta information on those pages?
  • Matt Hintze: +Fat Eyes Web Development ; +Rahul Dixit ;I don't think there's a way to import; you would just have to do it manually.
