Dumb SEO Questions

Would googlebot view follow links as spammy links?

Much revered oracles of search, I beseech thee :)

My company has around twenty or more links from a fairly strong domain. The links only differ in that I am included in a different zip code for each directory for user search..like this

findaninspector(dot)us/search.php?search_type=zip & zip=77052
findaninspector(dot)us/search.php?search_type=zip & zip=77017
findaninspector(dot)us/search.php?search_type=zip & zip=77402
findaninspector(dot)us/search.php?search_type=zip & zip=77223

They are all "follow" links. I guess my question is, would google view these as spammy links. They do help me get business to my site, but if they are affecting my organic rankings I`d rather limit the volume.

What say you??

  • Edwin Jonk: I don't think these links are problematic. Maybe in the past they could be considered spammy [1]. In the sense that all these sites would form a link wheel. But it looks that they have fixed that.

  • Dave Elliott: I was going to agree with mr jonk but......

That page he linked to is purely links(700 odd of them!!!) All of which have a 302 divert attached to them, all of which then go to same site, which then just changes the state in the box!

It isn't user friendly, it is kinda domain spoofing, and i don't think you will get any SEO benefit out of the links(even if you own the likes of ;AKHomeInspector.or(g) )

Why can't there just be one link on the page(or the page before that!), that goes directly to your site and then the users just chooses the state?

Its got to be easier for them than looking through 700 links!

And really what is the point in there being 4 alabama links on the page?.....All ultimately going to the same place. It doesn't even make sense in terms of their seo considering they are ALL links.

Even if it doesn't fall foul of any google laws(im fairly sure it does) then it is ridiculously spammy and utterly  ;utterly unnecessary.

i'd be concerned, if someone was linking to me in that way
  • Edwin Jonk: I agree Dave. Disavow it.

    The cuetimes listed on this page are functional while the live broadcast continues and also once Youtube has finished processing the public broadcast. Processing time varies between 6-24 hours. During this period the clip is viewable in full but the cuetimes cannot be relied on. ;
