Transferring domain rank.

  Victor Castillejos: I have a question, one of my friends wants to sell his business (he is moving to another country) his idea is to sell his business (website included) before selling his business he wants to go to GWT and use the tool to change of address so he transfers his domain rank.
  He thinks he can sell the domain but he will transfer the rank to the new domain for his new business..
  Is this possible? is this ok?
  I would say that when the new owner use GWT and claims the domain ownership the rank transfer will stop.
  What do you guys think?

  I'm just remembering that there are people that scout out desirable domains that already have ranking.  ;Theoretically it shouldn't work with a new owner (and it would be nice if rank was attributed to the owner/developer rather than the domain) but I recently grabbed a domain I had worked on 8 years ago (under a different profile) and as soon as I turned it on I saw that I was placing for the same key terms as I did back then, even though it is currently a 1 page site while I am working on development.
  
  I guess what I am saying is that domains have some value on their own, even if there is a transfer.

  so he wants to sell his domain, but before that transfer his website on GWT to the new domain. ;
