How to generate and implement an Image and Mobile sitemap for my blog.

  Ritu Ahuja: Hi everyone. I want to submit an Image and Mobile sitemap for my blog site. Any ideas how to generate and implement that.

  Dave Elliott: Why would you want to create separate sitemaps? Unless you have separate mobile site(so different urls for mobile and desktop users) there isn't any obvious need for a separate mobile sitemap. Images can be handled in the normal sitemap.xml file, so unless you have a ridiculously long sitemap(over 50k worth of urls) i don't really see the need to split it.

  Ritu Ahuja: +Edwin Jonk ;yes its for blogger. +Dave Elliott ;I was reading on web that its a good practice to submit all the sitemaps separately and the other reason is that I was looking for my blog images in search engine cant see any one of them. ;

  Ritu Ahuja: Thanks +Dave Elliott ;:-) They are indexed but I can't see them in search results. I thought may be Image sitemap help them getting better ranking.

  Dave Elliott: never heard about it being better practice (unless large site, or you need index/crawl information for specific site area such as products, or possibly videos...not sure on the last one) or indeed that it helps with rankings. ;
  
  But I await the panels thoughts with interest, as I have to say i don't really know!

  The cuetimes listed on this page are functional while the live broadcast continues and also once Youtube has finished processing the public broadcast. Processing time varies between 6-24 hours. During this period the clip is viewable in full but the cuetimes cannot be relied on.
