  Ryan Cramer: I am considering developing a rather large dynamic site and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with structuring the url where the main categories are provided as subdomains.  ;For Example:
  category( dot )domainXYZ( dot )com vs domainXYZ( dot )com( slash )category.  ;Has anyone found SEO value of one over the other?

  David Kutcher: Done it, didn't realize any advantage or disadvantage, but definitely a lot more trouble to implement.

  I did some testing in the past, and didn't seem to see much difference either.  ;I did create a successful subdomain structured platform that the next guy converted to a directory structure and it totally failed.  ;But I don't know if it was because of the value of the subdomain structure or he did some really poor SEO.
