  Steven Ciccantelli: Can someone direct me to a cpanel community ?It is a WP built website and I have access to that group of gurus, but very green and clueless I will need mega help. Perhaps I can read what cpanel experts have to say first.I did download the help file and the tutorials are very helpful so far.

  Greg Baka: The cpanel can be used at various levels. At the basic level it is primarily a file management system. That's all I've ever used it for. ; Modifying my htaccess is about as complicated as I've ever needed to do with it in many years of running two sites.
  
  Messing with any other aspects can lead to disaster. Using a good hosting service with live tech support is the key to not needing to learn all the complex language found deep in the cpanel. I suggest greengeeks(dot)com for that sort of hosting.

  Before I did anything I was going to use the backup wizard.

  Link them to what? Why?
  
  As far as I know, there is nothing you can do in a cpanel that effects FB or G+ pages. Because those pages are part of completely different systems.

  Web pages would be built and altered using an "editor program" (not the cpanel).
  Then they are uploaded to webhosting service through the cpanel.
  Once there, you can see the page files, image files, JS files, etc listed in their folders. It's much like using Windows Explorer on your own personal computer to see a list of your own files organized into folders.

  Greg Baka: Nope, it's not an editor. ; Primarily it is just a file organizer. There are other very geeky things that can be done with it, but most owners of simple sites never get that deep.
