My Website shows random pages for a particular search keyword. What can be the reason?

  There is this website of Engineering Design Company having services like Cad design services, piping design services, electrical design and many more.
  The problem is the website shows random pages for a particular search keyword. there is no stability. What can be the reason?
  It does have common content in some pages. So if content can be the reason how can it be rectified? by canonical?
  Also it's ; being quite difficult to bring leads since the website is not ranking. What are the possible ways to do that?

  GBC SEO: my client had same issue as you have been, ; I optimized each pages with meta tags ; and unique content. In your case I suggest please use unique content, if you use common content in all pages then there are many changes that you may loose your wait-age for original page. You should also measure backlinks from the websmaster tool, you might have unnatural backlinks.

  Mikita Shah: +GBC SEO I have checked back links and don't have any issues in that. I would definitely try unique content. Would canonical tag help?

  a Vipin Sharma: Yup agreed with GBC... beside that please do care that meta titles are not duplicate... every page has unique meta titles and descriptions... ;

  GBC SEO: I think canonical would not help you here, if you need ; rank for different keywords on different pages. Canonical will merge your content so it will be hard for those keywords that you want.
