  • Steven Ciccantelli: +James Hancocks I don't think blogging is dead.Perhaps guest blogging is frowned on but if you blog about say your business is that not unique and original content? Also get some authorship points maybe.
  • Oli Hill: Leverage real world relationships - your partners, vendors, associations, clubs and the like... If it sounds like old school networking it's because it is.
  • Dave Elliott: i dont believe guest blogging is dead. Guest blogging on stupid general blogs or blogging networks might be dieing, but blogging on relevant blogs i don't see how that can die.
  • Rahul Chauhan: Guest Blogging is not dead, it just about the quality.

  • Brand & Mortar: Quality is growing to be #1 on Google's list. Blogging isn't dead; poor written, re-spun content is. If you can write interesting content and share it organically online, you should be fine.

Guest blogging probably isn't as beneficial as it once was, but you should still look into making connections and blogging for certain websites (ones with good reputations). I believe that writing blogs should mainly be about creating content, engaging visitors, and telling stories; not just building SEO.
  • John Britsios: +James Hancocks in short: Write unique, interesting and attractive content, post it on your own web site or blog, promote it through social media channels, mailings lists, etc.

If you content is like described above, will be share worthy, so you will have the best chances to gain links naturally.

But now for the record: Guest blogging is not dead. The way it was working have changed. That said, it only works without problems, if you know how what you are doing.
