Most of you know the tool Google Trends and some have heard about Google Knowledge and/or Freebase . But I guess that very few of you know that these three entities are closely related and have a huge impact on semantic search.
In this article (inspired by David Amerland `s work), I describe how Google Trends and the Knowledge Graph are connected. This gives you a idea of the mechanisms in action when you perform a search query on Google.
