Which topics are covered in SEO?

What is "TRUE SEO?" Which topics are covered in SEO? Does it require a lot of hard work as it is said? Why are people not satisfied even after getting first page ranking on Google? Why do some people emphasize on time limit to get top ranking because after all it depends on Google to decide??

  • Joseph Paulino: +Alex George Yes, it requires a lot of hard work. Getting found is one thing, getting noticed is another. ; It is the case even after reaching first page rankings. As with time, you have to always be two steps ahead of the competition.
  • Neil Hannam: SEO covers such a wide range of topics and influencing factors that to do it properly requires an exceptional amount of hardwork. Firstly you have to undertsand the terminology, tools, ranking facotrs and your audience before you even begin to try and actually undertake the work to optimise a website.

    You're right that the time it takes to see your ranking change is up to Google but the better you optimise a site a bigger jump you'll likely see when Google does reindex your site. Once you hit that top spot your competition will be gunning for you so you have to continually strive to improve your site, content and optimisation to maintain that position. The process of optimising a site isn't something you do once and sit back and admire the results of.
