Dumb SEO Questions

My impressions peaked the day after relaunch, and have been steadily declining. What`s wrong?

Hey, Everyone. So, I successfully relaunched my site on Feb 3 (migrated, everything`s working fine), and I`ve been closely watching my Google stats. My SERP rankings seem fine (I`ve Googled my target phrases and have had others do the same), but I`m noticing a disturbing trend in my Google Webmaster data. My impressions peaked the day after relaunch, and have been steadily declining. What`s more, it seems that the data stopped coming in on Feb 6th. Today`s the 10th, so that`s almost 4 days of no data. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much!?

  • Jeremy Estes: I would definitely give it a few more days before freaking out (not that you are).

    Did you happen to download your traffic report from wmt before you launched? If you did, you could compare the terms that aren't getting impressions anymore.

    What does your analytics say? Has traffic dropped? It looks like a very low amount of search traffic for your site anyways, but definitely check those stats.

    edit: btw - WMT traffic stats are always like 4-5 days behind.
  • Federico Sasso: I think it's an hiccup on GWT side. I observed the same  ;decline on the last tracked day (6 Feb), and I'm not the only one ;https://plus.google.com/u/0/+TommyRedmond/posts/DxfjrMniSM6
  • Brent Wildman: I agree with +Jeremy Estes ;

    Check your Analytics to see if you're seeing the same drops in there as well. Webmaster tools takes a while to update and is based on averages anyways. Plus it is notorious for little hiccups like these that take days to correct.
  • David Mason: Thanks, Guys! I'll relax a bit, then. Everything else seems normal, which is great. I appreciate your time, advice, and feedback.
  • David Weightman: I suggest that you do a follow through for a couple of weeks. ;
