Rob Maas: Yes, ; they must be doing it for some sort of gain/profit, but in what way ? Indirect by negatively influencing scrapped websites .. ; or what ?
Peter Fitzer: There's lots of strategies. A lot of them no longer work bc big G is smart these days. In the past I've seen people auto blog in order to peddle their affiliate products. Just scrape and post and make a giant site with tons of posts. Using reviews, rss feeds, whatever. But these days its much less effective and you won't find many of these ranked in G. The sites are usually created by poor souls who are 5 years behind on SEO.
