Google is the one that has made it possible for NSEO attacks to exist

H/T +Richard Hearne always a good topic for discussion. I suppose you are right, Google is the one that has made it possible for NSEO attacks to exist. It would seem that for many sites link monitoring and link removal is the new link building.

I don`t think this is ethical by and stretch of the imagination however, I could see some bad SEOs building spam links to client site just so they can show the client that they are monitoring their backlink profile and removing them. Richard Hearne originally shared:   I think it`s fur to say that as this topic goes mainstream Google et. all. Well be forced to change tactics. Is also the reason algos like Penguin suffer from diminishing returns over time. The longer competitors use nseo against each other the greater the probability Penguin will flag up FPs.

Sadly I find this hard to blame on marketers - this is Google`s doing IMO. Negative SEO: still taboo or becoming an accepted practice?
