YOUR ANSWERS

Selected answers from the Dumb SEO Questions G+ community.

  • Steve Gerencser: Nope. But real translations will do better.
  • Jeremy L. Knauff: Yes. So much will be lost in the translation that your likelihood of being accurate is slim to none.
  • Micah Fisher-Kirshner: Auto translation, particularly at scale, can harm your site as quality suffers and can be matched to duplicating of your English content.
  • Neil Cheesman: Yet to see an auto-translate that was `good`
  • Neil Cheesman: and if just ONE word was incorrect it could mess up the whole intention... "but I thought you said YES to put the word SPAM on every page..."
  • Roma Alloui: I`ve tested auto-translate (Google translate for example) myself to see how it would translate a paragraph, from English to French, and the result was horrible. There is nothing better than a real human being when it comes to translation.
