UK variation in schema for zip ie postcode

In schema, I notice it says `zip` - which is okay for the US but in the UK, for example, it is `postcode` - is there a UK variation in schema for zip? ie `postcode` - or should `zip` be used in all instances?

  • Dan Thies: Pretty sure it`s postalCode
  • Jason Duke: Although postal code is technically correct, I`d suggest using post code, as that`s what everyone here (in the UK) calls them.
  • David Kutcher: You should just adhere to the American way of doing things ;) Postcode/Zip, same thing.
  • Kyle Arnold: Never!!! Haha
  • Alan Bleiweiss: No. America won the revolutionary war. Get over it. Zip or nothing.
  • Neil Cheesman: really about what is `correct` in schema...
