Optimizing iFrames

Here`s a question that`ll throw you back in time and likely make you groan- apologies in advance: Using the Yoast plugin, is there anything particular I need to know about optimizing iFrames? I haven`t encountered them in ages.

Rishi Lakhani: Yes - dont use them :P
Casey Markee: It hasn`t been mentioned above but Google does support the NOFRAMES tag and you should at least use that to "markup" alternative content Google can actually in turn crawl. Information on that here: https://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/present/frames.html#h-16.4.1
Gina Fiedel: Thanks, I agree. I am going to recommend against them. Unfortunately, there`s a strong possibility that they will remain for the time being due to available resources.
Doc Sheldon: There really isn`t a lot you can do to "optimize" iframes. LOL
