  I really just want to ask if rel=publisher is still relevant with the introduction of "Google My business" or do I still need to add the markup in order have the logo and other relevant info shown at the right hand side of the serp. ;

  Jim Munro: I am not an expert but I don't think this is a dumb question. I thought rel=publisher might eventually be considered to be more useful than rel=author so I registered a few domains around it even though I have no clue. I have to admit that it's a struggle to attract posts to a publisher rank community though. :)

  Carlo Barbosa: +Jim Munro ;Thank you! I think you're right about rel=author. Based from what I've read so far, it seems most author's aren't really linking their work to their G+ profiles even before they've decided to photo in the serp. So I kinda understand why Google just recently axe it. ;

  Tony McCreath: I think linking your G+ page with the website using rel publisher also merges the +1 counts for both. ;
