I can`t figure this Google places stuff out!! Does anyone have any tips? I have optimized my listing (all photos, videos, keyword descriptions) Geo mapped my images, gotten as many or more reviews than anyone on the first page, outsource a company to place citations all over the web on high PR sites, I have a 100% score on merchant circle, yelp and other sites and still I cant out rank other listings who haven`t even touched their page. What am I missing?? Any pointer would be appreciated. BTW I`m no SEO dummy I rank my wordpress site on the first page for the same keywords, just can`t figure out google places wants me to do.

  • Tim Capper: There are a couple of things. Potentially you are spamming yourself - 2 place pages to the same Site. However I see you ranking : http://goo.gl/djj9Bq I would connect this one to the name below your social sharing icons on site. http://goo.gl/VKRBCQ >Rob Burns Realtor 984 Chapeltown Cir N Jacksonville, Fl 32225 Phone: 904-485-7455 Another thing is the publisher tag and author tag are the same. Just Noticed Your author tag and publisher tag is the same personal profile ? Your publisher tag should be to your Google+ Business | Brand or Organisation page. When you set this up - you can connect your Google place pages as Google+ Local. To Sum Up Create a Google+ Business Page Connect to site via rel=publisher tag Connect Google place pages to your Google+ business page - making them verified google+ local pages Link your site to the relevant place URL >Rob Burns Realtor 984 Chapeltown Cir N Jacksonville, Fl 32225 Phone: 904-485-7455 PS your G+ social icon is not connected

  • Rob Burns: +Tim Capper ; You're awesome! Thank you for all of your insight!
  • Tim Capper: Pleasure
  • Anrich Brummer: +Tim Capper awesome answer! I was wondering though +Rob Burns has Google Places listings not Google+ local pages, can you still link to your places listings from your Google+ business page? And not just a link but a verified connection?
  • Justin Y: +Tim Capper perfect answer. +Anrich Brummer the Google Places will become your Google+ Local page when the business page has been verified, the two listings will migrate into one. Migrating the two pages together will bring the reviews and posts to one page.

+Tim Capper is right about the spamming issue. You should naturally only have one verified page and make sure that the migrated page has the correct address and that your co-citations match the G+ page across the web.
