How long does GSC keep the 410 report?

I deleted some content on my website and made it a 410. Now its obviosuly showing up as that in google search console. How long does it stay there for? Does this have any negative impact on rankings?HTTP 410 = Gone - The target resource is no longer available at the origin server and that this condition is likely to be permanent.

  • Youness Bermime: I read somewhere that Google keeps that data and will show it every now and then just to make sure that the page is still deleted. Who knows, maybe a webmaster someday decides to bring back dead content?
  • Alan Bleiweiss: All that matters is you intended to remove it, chose the correct server code, and Google acknowledged it. How long a 410 URL remains in GSC or whether it disappears or later shows up again is of no consequence. Google could leave it there forever, or replace it with others at some point. Either way, nothing to do or worry about.
