Limit with regard to how many redirects can be placed in htaccess

General question: Is there a limit with regard to how many redirects can be placed in htaccess when websites change their url structure? (ie before significantly affecting website load speed)

  • George G.: if you have way too many - use nginx
  • Mal Ö Tonge: years ago i put 300k + and uploaded affiliates to froogle (googles old shopping engine) so yes I dont think you will ever reach the limit.
