Should I keep using Brand Name In Title Tags?

Brand Name In Title Tags - Yes / No - Front , Middle, Back

I did some work for a client the other day and outlined why I felt he should have his Brand Name in his title tag - I did some competitor analysis of his market `area` to back this up and show him why some sites did one thing and some another.

Got me thinking though about how often `Branding` considerations in this area outweigh #SEO considerations - for most sites nowadays it`s just the norm to have their brand name first in their title tag...so is this a loosing battle for Search Experts who want to do something different?

  • Tony McCreath: I vary based on the subject of a page. Sometimes the page is about the brand and other times it's nothing to do with it.
  • Neeraj Kumar: Some says that this was a old practise and now only one page, preferably home page only be for brand and it should be optimized for brand name.
  • Rahul Chauhan: there are no such hard and fast rule as far as adding brand name in title is considered, you can add it at any place in the title or may be you can't add it at all.

But as per Google  ;if it edit your title then it will add the brand name at start if and only if it is know as a brand name to Google.
