  I want to know if my site is getting marked as the location for the original content I am creating for it.
  
  I am making new video content for my word press website. ; I post the video to my you tube account first and then embed that video to a new post I create on my site. ; Also, I add a link to my websites homepage in the description of the video.
  
  The youtube account I am using is not linked to the company Google+ page or company gmails. ; It is independent of them so this may be hurting me in terms of classifying my site as the original source.
  
  I then share my video through many sites and forums that are applicable to my indusrty in an attempt to give my video more authority.
  
  Is this the best way to share videos and help my websites SEO? ; Is my site being tagged as the original source of the content? ;
  
  I've tried using meta tags like the "originalcontent" one, but I can not figure out how to put it into my site and the plugins aren't really helping. ; Also, I keep reading that those are useless even though it may be very applicable for this situation.

  Personally I put the videos I embed into the product pages of my ecommerce stores on Youtube for 3 reasons:
  1) it's a good link to the product page
  2) the youtube search engine is well used by my customers
  3) it's really easy to do

  The cuetimes listed on this page are functional while the live broadcast continues and also once Youtube has finished processing the public broadcast. Processing time varies between 6-24 hours. During this period the clip is viewable in full but the cuetimes cannot be relied on.

  Bob Collopy: I'm in agreement with the first speaker. ; It'd be best to have the accounts linked together. ;
  
  This was not an option for me as the company disabled you tube for company emails. ; However, after much complaining I think it will be enabled soon. ; Also, I now have ownership of the google listing page or "Google my business" I also gained ownership of the google + local pages. ;
  
  (My ownership has been given to me via the company email.)
  
  So with all that stuff saying I'm operating as an employee of my company + You tube being enabled to the email, I'm pretty sure Google will cite my company as the original source.
  
  In terms of crawling that can be an issue due to you tube getting crawled more often. ; However in webmasters I found (hope I interpreted this correctly) you can have google crawl a specific page immediately if you enter it in. ; I believe the action is called fetch? (could have mixed some tools up) ; Note: videos are usually not going to render because they are usually too big for the fetch + Render option. ; Not that that's a big deal.
  
  The site map was a good idea but looks quite daunting. ; I found a good link to make site maps with video. ; Also, I may have to make a site map for every post due to the sites structure. ; Definitely not ideal.
