How many of you implemented revisit-after meta tag, and experienced that this tag really works. In my case, it is not working exactly the way I thought.

    How many of you implemented revisit-after meta tag, and experienced that this tag really works. In my case, it is not working exactly the way I thought.
  • Jim Munro: I think you&#39;ll find it is a waste of space, Girish. Googlebot will come back on it&#39;s own timetable.
  • Rahul Chauhan: this will add no value, all its depends on the updating frequency of the website.
  • Ammon Johns: Revist after is mostly a waste of time, and it was only <b>ever</b> meant as a throttle, never, ever an accellerator.

    If you are worried that the search spiders are taking up too much of your bandwidth, the idea was to implement revisit after so they wouldn&#39;t keep grabbing the same page before it changed.

    There is no tag anywhere that will make a spider visit you sooner.
