Removing previous brand account

I have a quick question if anyone can be of help here.
We recently created a local SEO page as the previously built brand page wasn`t the one that we needed.

We then followed all of the correct instructions to merge the two accounts so that we were left with the local account.

Everything has worked but the previous brand account still appears to be live, is there anyway to remove it so that only the local page remains?

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
