Gambling sites

Does anyone know if google penalizes a domain for gambling? I may acquire a pretty nice domain for cheap, but it does have some blackjack links associated with it and had a 302 redirect to some online casino for a couple years.

The domain`s about 15yrs old, hasn`t changed too many hands, good DA & PA w/ an overal MOZ score of 5+.

  • Desert Vibe: Google's focus is relevancy of content and its quality. In performing white hat SEO, if the website itself is a gambling website, casino/gambling type links would be relevant. And considering you have good domain/page authority, it doesn't sound like an issue, otherwise it likely wouldn't be so good. Although, I suppose you could have issues with links from low-value gambling sites that could create link problems. But it would be as any other site watching for low quality links and to deal with them appropriately.
