Broken down weekly

Hi Guys,

How do you deal with this? if your customer send you this email

Can you please send me reports broken down weekly since the beginning of the year:

- Organic visitors
- Paid Visitors
- Conversions
- Rankings
- Dates of when changes were made with bidding strategy etc so that we can see if there are patterns to identify what works good.

I give monthly reports and today suddenly i got this email. All weekly. how do i respond? or just get it done and send it? it will take hours or is there any easier way out?

  • Jim Munro: If it was not asked for at the proposal stage, I would ask them what sort of budget they want to allocate for this.
  • Michelle Dear: Yeah. This is called "scope creep". If you have a statement of work (SOW), let them know that this is a Change Request, and your SOW will need to be updated and you will need to renegotiate the contract. ;

    PS: If you don't have a SOW for projects, your may want to consider that in the future. It protects you from scope creep like this, and puts the client in the position of having to put in change requests for additional features--not reasonable modifications or requests for report mods in the agreed-upon reports--but for something like this. :)
  • Yogesh Dhawan: Fantastic Piece of Advice. Thanks +Michelle Dear ;and +Jim Munro ;. ;
  • Rushi Pandya: In worse case scenario, give them access to Google Analytics and quickly put down step by step guide on how to change the date range.
  • Benjamin Slap: Check out Swydo ( http://www.swydo.com/ ). You can link it to your Google Webmasters account and generate visual reports with parameters of choice.
  • Yogesh Dhawan: +Rushi Pandya ;They have the access already.
  • Yogesh Dhawan: Thanks +Benjamin Slap ; I will look into it.
