I`ve done the SEO basics, what to do next?

Hi people, could do with some feed back on what to do next? We are a new ecommerce site based in the uk. I am using alot of free trial tools to help with our onpage/ offpage SEO. We have managed to get a 90% score with semRush with no errors. My screaming frog scans are limited but not much is showing up for us to improve. We do facebook ad`s which we are finding very cheap and successful. We`re using wordpress with a purchased theme which we find amazing. Scheme isn`t showing up on the MOZ bar but it shows up in google console. the only errors we get are hentry (markup: microformats.org) missing aurther and updated which i assume is a woocommerce issue, and with any luck when we do the next big update will get fixed. site speed is good, HTTPS implamented. thanks in advance hippy clothing shop dot co dot uk

  • Jody Nesbitt: before going into "what do to next" why not say what you are already planning, so save people suggesting the same stuff over and over for you to just respond with "already doing that"
  • Gaz Underhill: Hi Jody Nesbitt, thanks for replying. i have just finished completing citations. we are currently just on the verge on breaking onto page 1 in our organic searches. what i am now doing is adding more content and more keywords where it looks and feels natural through out the site. i built the site myself with no experience what so ever, so wordpress and seo has been a very step learning curve for me over the past year. i sit and watch hours of youtube video`s when i have free time just in the hope i will catch a good bit of advice on what primevally is mostly about blogs. We are also planning to start running compititions and informing people through our monthly newsletter and having a News page on our site. also even though i may reply say i have done or doing that, maybe someone else reading hasn`t :)
  • Jody Nesbitt: Do some research on Google Merchant Centre - low cost, quality traffic, take a look at tools like kwfinder.com to expand you reach, sign up for a free ranks.nl account as well
  • Jody Nesbitt: very very different and a lot cheaper to run
  • Gaz Underhill: Thanks, will look into it. i am assuming merchant centre is different to adwords which robbed us blind lol
  • Gregory Dantschotter: I`ve noticed that - on the product detail page you have a 302 redirect to URL`s like https://hippyclothingshop.co.uk/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https://hippyclothingshop.co.uk/shop/hippy-throws-wall-hangings/sun-moon-throw/&autofocus%5Bsection%5D=menu_locations But there not available. Something to fix. - 301 redirects from URL`s without trailing slash to the URL with trailing slash I.E. https://hippyclothingshop.co.uk/category/unisex-hippy-shirts to https://hippyclothingshop.co.uk/category/unisex-hippy-shirts/ - 286 URL`s that redirect to an URL with /wp-login/ that isn`t accessible but it returns a status 200. - Product tag pages without H1
  • Gregory Dantschotter: I`ve send you a PM via messenger.
  • Belinda Irvine: Now time to get some backs links and do some guess blogging for awareness.
  • Gaz Underhill: so my next question is, how would i fix this issue? - 286 URL`s that redirect to an URL with /wp-login/ that isn`t accessible but it returns a status 200.
  • Ammon Johns: You`ve got all the basic ideas in place. Now, as you say, you need to expand your content further, but you need to do this carefully. You don`t want to expand the amount of content you have too far beyond what your site has the links and `importance signals` to support. So as you build content, make sure that at least half of what you build is designed to inspire and attract natural linking. If you add news, add news that people will care enough about to link to. If you add competitions, make sure they are remarkable enough for people to talk about them and excitedly link to them.
