Internal links- No data available

Hi again. I have one query about webmaster tools. When I access Internal links from search traffic, it shows `No data available`. I have linked most of my post internally but my blog is very new. I have started on 27th April, does it make any difference? Or there is any other reason for not getting data. Please advice. ?

  • Tony McCreath: Are you seeing any other data like pages indexed?
  • Ritu Ahuja: +Pavel Joser Atauchi Rojas ;+Tony McCreath ;thanks for your reply. Those pages are indexed, I have created internal links with the old pages which are related to the current one. My concern is that I am not getting any data in Internal links of webmaster tools. ;
  • Harry Dance: +Ritu Ahuja ;sorry this may not solve the webmaster problem, however do you use screaming frog? literally the best tool for onsite, including internal linking etc.....oh yeah it's FREE.
  • Tony McCreath: If you have just set up GWT then it takes a few days before it reports the data
  • Ritu Ahuja: Thanks +Harry Dance. I have never used that tool before. I will download it. I was reading on web about it. Can you tell me more about it? :)
  • Ritu Ahuja: Thanks for your reply +Tony McCreath. It's been 2 months I am using it. I do not know how long it takes to reflect internal link data.
  • Harry Dance: Hey +Ritu Ahuja ;of course. To view the tool basically go to (dot)screamingfrog(dot)co(dot)uk/seo-spider/ ;. the tool itself crawls the pages similar to google would and compiles all the information which can be seen as useful. I.e which pages link to which, what is the anchor text, Page titles, their length, word amount on the page, the list is endless!
  • Tony McCreath: +Ritu Ahuja ;It should only take a few days for data to start. Not months anyhow.

    screaming frog is a good tool. You can use it to find all the pages and links on your website. If screaming frog can find them then Google should also find them.

    GWT reporting that your pages are indexed is the important bit. ;
  • Mark Hall: If GWT is showing external links then it should show internal links too. I am assuming you submitted the sitemap and got no errors or warnings. ;
  • Ritu Ahuja: Thanks +Harry Dance. That would be great. I will download it and will check the results :) ;
  • Ritu Ahuja: Thanks +Tony McCreath ;:)
  • Ritu Ahuja: +Mark Hall ;there are no external links. I have linked posts internally. That data GWT is not fetching. I have submitted the sitemap and not getting any errors.
  • Yogesh Dhawan: What is google showing in "Links to your site" section under Search Traffic? how many links?
  • Ritu Ahuja: +Yogesh Dhawan ;It is showing "No data available" ;
  • Yogesh Dhawan: When did you submit your sitemap? how long ago? and when did Google indexed your pages last time?
  • Ritu Ahuja: +Yogesh Dhawan ;2 days back i submitted a post for indexing and its done. I am not getting Internal links data still. ;
  • Yogesh Dhawan: No - you wont get the data in 2 days. At least 2 weeks for this specific post. ;
  • Ritu Ahuja: +Yogesh Dhawan ;I am not getting any data since 2 months. That's the concern. ;
